Ethereum (ETH) – What is it, how to buy, price chart
What is Ethereum
Ethereum (ETH) is a decentralized platform that allows developers to create and run decentralized applications (dApps). These applications run on the Ethereum blockchain. Using ERC-20 tokens, other cryptocurrencies such as Tether, Solana, Avae and many others can be created on Ethereum. One unit is called ether and the smallest unit is called gwei. Ethereum is currently the second most valuable cryptocurrency in the world.
Why buy ether
- Smart contracts: Ethereum allows developers to create smart contracts, which are self-service programs that run on the blockchain. There is huge potential here for use in decentralized finance.
- Staking: Ethereum can be locked into a smart-contract and earn rewards for running a so-called confirmation node. Ethereum can therefore earn additional Ethereum passively.
- Tokens: These, for example, include Uniswap (UNI), Maker (MKR), Aave (AAVE), Arbitrum (ARB), Solana (SOL), Tether (USDT), and thousands more.
- Constant development: The protocol is constantly being improved and has a very strong and high quality development team around it.
Investing in Ethereum:
Ethereum is a volatile asset whose price can fluctuate wildly. This makes it both a risky investment and a potentially profitable one. If you are considering investing in Ethereum, it is important to do your own research and consider your risks.
Buying and selling Ethereum:
Ethereum can be bought and sold for Czech crowns and convenient bank transfer in our Simplecoin exchange.
What do I need to buy Ethereum
An Ethereum wallet is required to hold (store) Ethereum. It will give you control over your Ethereum and no one can seize it from you as long as you have a backup to that wallet.
We can recommend the Coinomi wallet, which can be downloaded to iOS, Android and PC via the official site here.
How to buy Ethereum
To buy Ethereum on the Simplecoin exchange, you only need an Ethereum wallet. After that, you can already buy up to 200 Euros worth of Ethereum in 10 days anonymously without registration. For a higher investment, you need to upload two identity documents. Details can be found here.
